Computers for recording and mixing
When I started recording guitar and vocals in 2019, I was using the DAW REAPER (see “Software”) on an outdated laptop with a quad-core i5 processor. Because this setup couldn’t handle the memory-intensive programs I needed, I upgraded to a Mac Studio with an M3 chip and 32 cores in the fall of 2025. As a lifelong DOS-based PC user, this was quite an adjustment — but absolutely worth it. My current hardware and software setup is extremely future-proof … hopefully for at least the next 15 years.
You can find my actual playlist at:
Main equipment for playing and recording
Amp: MESA BOOGIE - 50 CALIBER
(1983)
In all these years, only one fuse has blown... Vow!
Mixer: Behringer x32
(2019)
I also use it for rehearsals and live gigs with my friends
(a local cover band).
A lot of sound variations -
and a lot of experiments
Also Jimi had used this crying tool.

My high-level computer for visual and auditory creativity ... very small, very beautiful, very handy, very powerful - very happy ☺️
