Our Commitment to Integrity

At TeamSwann Inc., we believe sports are about more than competition. They are an opportunity to develop character, confidence, leadership, teamwork, discipline, and life skills.

As a nonprofit organization serving athletes, families, coaches, schools, and our community, we are committed to operating with integrity, transparency, respect, accountability, and fairness.

Our decisions will always be guided by what is best for the student athletes and communities we serve.

Our Core Ethical Principles

1. Athlete First

The safety, development, dignity, and well-being of student athletes come first.

We will strive to provide positive, safe, inclusive, and encouraging environments where athletes can learn, compete, and grow.

2. Integrity & Honesty

We will conduct TeamSwann business and programs honestly and responsibly.

We will not intentionally misrepresent athletes, programs, partnerships, accomplishments, fundraising efforts, or organizational information.

3. Respect

We expect athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters to treat one another with dignity and respect.

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated throughout any events or programs.

4. Fairness & Inclusion

TeamSwann is committed to providing opportunities for student athletes regardless of background, ability, experience, or economic circumstances.

We believe every athlete deserves to be treated fairly and given the opportunity to develop and succed in life.

5. Sportsmanship

We promote competition with class!

Athletes, coaches, parents, and supporters are expected to respect teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, volunteers, and facilities.

Winning will never be more important than character or reputation.

6. Responsible Leadership

TeamSwann representatives are expected to lead by example.

Anyone representing TeamSwann should demonstrate professionalism, passion, good judgment, accountability, and a strong sence of pride for their community 

7. Transparency & Accountability

We are committed to being responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to TeamSwann inc.

We will work to maintain appropriate financial practices, communicate honestly with our supporters, and use donations and organizational resources in alignment with our mission.

8. Youth Protection & Professional Boundaries

Because TeamSwann works with young athletes, all interactions with minors must remain professional, appropriate, and focused on the athlete’s development and safety.

Adults representing TeamSwann are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries and follow standard FCPS, athletic, facility, and youth-protection policies.

10. Responsible Media & Athlete Representation

TeamSwann may photograph, record, interview, and promote athletes and programs as part of our media and community initiatives.

We will strive to represent athletes, schools, teams, coaches, and families accurately and respectfully and will follow applicable permission and media-consent requirements.

11. Responsible Partnerships

We value our sponsors, schools, businesses, nonprofits, athletic organizations, and community partners.

We will seek partnerships that support our mission and provide positive value to student athletes of our community.

12. Speak Up

TeamSwann encourages athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, staff, and community members to raise concerns about unethical, unsafe, inappropriate, or disrespectful behavior.

Concerns should be brought to TeamSwann leadership so they can be reviewed appropriately.
