For over 40 years, Fran's Kids has provided loving, dependable childcare and has been state-licensed since 1989.
As a family-run mother-and-daughter daycare, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, home-like atmosphere where children truly belong.
Our play-based approach encourages learning through exploration, social interaction, and hands-on experiences. In addition to nurturing care, we offer a thoughtfully planned preschool curriculum at no additional cost, helping children build early academic, social, and emotional skills while still learning through play.
We believe children thrive best in an environment that feels safe, cozy, and familiar-just like Grandma's house. With home-cooked meals, small group care, and a large fenced outdoor play space, Fran's Kids offers the comfort of home with the benefits of quality early childhood education.
Meet the Staff
Hi! My name is Fran Keller and I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I am a proud mom of four. I have three daughters, one son, and twelve grandchildren.
I have a lifelong love for Disneyland and the ocean. My perfect day would start early with rope drop at Disneyland, spending the day enjoying everything the park has to offer, then heading to the beach to swim before returning to Disney in the evening to close out the park. I also enjoy BYU football, theater, roller coasters, reading, and traveling. I currently volunteer at the Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater and at BYU football games.
Most of my life has been dedicated to working with children. I have experience at the Utah State Developmental Center, where I worked in client care, and at Mountainland Head Start, both in the classroom and as a kitchen aide. I became licensed in Family Child Care in 1989, and caring for children has truly been my life's work.
I love watching children grow, learn, and discover new things. I believe in building strong partnerships with families, working together to support each child's individual needs and ensure the best possible outcomes. I have experience and training working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children.
In 2014, I was honored to be named PFCCA Provider of the Year, an achievement I am very proud of.
Caring for children is more than a job for me. It is a passion, a calling, and a joy.
I've been happily married for over 25 years and am the proud mother of three wonderful children — two daughters and a son. Being a mother has been one of the most fulfilling, challenging, and rewarding experiences of my life. During those years, I truly came to appreciate how important high-quality, loving childcare is for families who need to be away from their children.
I've had the joy of working with Fran's Kids for over 15 years, and I absolutely love what I do. Watching children learn, grow, and gain confidence as they face new challenges is incredibly rewarding. I treasure the relationships I've built with our childcare families over the years and feel honored to support them - many of these connections have become lifelong friendships.
When I'm not caring for children, you'll find me in the mountains hiking, exploring dirt roads in my 4x4, relaxing by the lake, or traveling to new places in search of adventure and unexplored paths. With my own children now grown, I'm excited and looking forward to the next chapter of becoming a grandma someday!
Honored to be named the 2014 PFCCA Provider of the Year
