I am currently a Researcher at Precision Development (PxD) since April 2026. Previously, I was Postdoctoral Fellow (Development Economics) at the Georg August University of Göttingen. I completed my PhD in Development Economics at ETH Zurich in May 2025. I hold a MA in Management from the University of Nairobi and a BSc in International Relations and Diplomacy from Masinde Muliro University. 

My broad interests are in technology, development, labor, education, agrculture, poverty and inequality with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. You can access the latest version of my working papers here and my CV here

In 2019, I co-founded GAIN, which has initiatives to increase the representation of Africans Scholars in Economics. GAIN won the 2022 inaugural European Economics Association Innovation in Teaching Award. You can support GAIN as a mentor or sign up as a Mentee (African students only).
