WHAT I TEACH
A lot of the information I've acquired and enjoy passing on to students comes from the amazing teachers I had the pleasure of studying with at Berklee: Tim Miller, Tomo Fujita, Jon Damian, Bruce Saunders, Sheryl Bailey... They've all had a significant impact on my conception of the guitar, making sense of the fretboard and truly understanding melody, harmony, and rhythm on this instrument.
As well as having an academic approach, I also draw from my extensive experience as a professional musician, touring and recording extensively for the past fifteen years. These aren't lessons typically learned in a classroom but rather on stage, in the studio, or on the road.

Frank O’Sullivan is a professional guitarist and composer in Montreal, where he's lived since 2012 after graduating from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
In Montreal, Frank quickly became a first-call musician in the r&b, hip-hop, and jazz scenes after joining the Kalmunity Vibe Collective — Canada’s largest and longest-running Afrocentric music collective. He's performed and recorded with artists like Malika Tirolien, Dominique Fils-Aimé, Planet Giza, Busty & The Bass, among many more, touring across North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. In 2022, he was nominated for a Juno Award in the Best Contemporary R&B Recording category as co-producer for “Gifted” by Kallitechnis.
Since 2020, Frank has released four albums and in June 2024 made his live debut as a bandleader, opening for Al Di Meola at the Théâtre Maisonneuve. Soon after, he was awarded the Grand Prix de la Relève, an emerging talent competition at the Rimouski Jazz Festival. In 2025, his group went on tour in Quebec, including a headlining performance at the Montreal Jazz Festival.
