Even though this school year looks different, the Franklin PTO is committed to helping our kids make memories and grow together. We appreciate all that our Franklin community is willing to give to the school, the staff and the students, and we look forward to another wonderful year!

FRANKLIN FAREWELL WEEK: MAY 17-21

The PTO is planning a week of fun and celebration as we bid farewell to Franklin Elementary School.

Monday, May 17

  • Crazy hair day

  • Chalk the walk: students will chalk the sidewalk with their class

  • Drive-by retiree celebration - Families can meet at 3:30 p.m. at Franklin to follow the route, or can visit any retiree's home between 3:30 and 5 p.m. Please stay in your car and greet each home with a honk and a wave! Feel free to share with any former Franklin families or staff. Map is available here.

Tuesday, May 18:

  • Pajama day

Wednesday, May 19

  • Dress to impress day - wear your fanciest or favorite outfit!

  • 5th grade continuation at 9:30 a.m.

Thursday, May 20

  • Beach day

  • Happy Cones ice cream truck at school (Outshine brand popsicles will be available for students with allergies)

Friday, May 21

  • Franklin spirit wear day

  • Early release at 11:50 a.m.

All week

  • Teacher experiences in class - staff have planned fun events that students will enjoy all week!

  • Staff STAR awards - Fill out a STAR award for a special Franklin staff member. PDF available here.

  • Enjoy 20% off one coffee and one pastry per family at Corner Bakery SouthGlenn. Let the cashier know that you are using the "Franklin Farewell Appreciation" promotion.

STREET SMARTS AT SOUTHGLENN

Shop at Streets at SouthGlenn and help earn money for Franklin. Receipts are accepted for delivery, take out and in-store shopping. You can submit receipts online or drop them in the mailbox at 6150 S. Elizabeth Way. For questions, please contact Alison Burn.

LONGMONT DAIRY CAPS

MILK CAPS for MOOOLA is a program sponsored by Longmont Dairy that helps students earn money for their school. Longmont Dairy milk caps are worth 5¢ each and are redeemable for cash! Drink Longmont Dairy milk, save your bottle caps, and then turn them in. Send them to school with your student and put them in the collection bin at the front office or drop them on the porch at 6194 E. Mineral Drive.

LPS BOND PROGRESS

To stay up to date on projected timelines for projects initiated through the 2018 LPS Bond, visit this website. It includes current information regarding improvements to the district, including the opening of Ford Elementary and construction of the new Highland/Franklin building.
