I hold the position of Associate Professor at the School of Economics and am an active member of the Centre for Competition Policy at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Currently serving as an associate editor for the journals Economic Inquiry and Journal of Industry, Competition and Trade, my research focuses on empirical industrial organisation and competition policy, with a minor emphasis on economic history.
My work spans diverse areas, including cartels, horizontal mergers, impact evaluation, innovation, redistribution, and online platforms.
I have co-investigated two research projects for the European Commission, DGComp, and have led projects for the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, as well as the Financial Regulatory Council within the UK. Beyond academia, I have provided consultancy services for the Philippine Competition Commission and the South Africa Competition Commission. Since 2023 I have acted as external impact assessor to the Competition and Markets Authority’s yearly impact assessment reports (2024-25, 2023-24 and 2022-23). In 2025 I have been the external assessor to the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission 2021-24 impact assessment report (2021-24). I am currently working on a impact-related project for the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
