The Program
The Andover High School Engineering Program has a proven tradition of providing students with professional experience in Engineering and Professional Industry used Software - SolidWorks. Many students have utilized their skills from the Andover High School Engineering Program with paid positions in Industry and their programs of study.
In level 1, students learn to use the software and its tools. They work through basic projects and finish with an independent design of their choice. They use machines and tools for 3D Printing, Laser Cutting and Engraving, Vinyl Cutting, and CNC Milling//Cutting.
In the second level, students will learn advanced program tools to provide a Professional Working set of plans/prints to 3D Print, Laser Cut and Engrave, Vinyl Cut, and CNC Mill//Cut.
Articulated College Credit is Given with an 80%minimum in the class.
Engineering and Architecture Students
It is highly recommended and encouraged that you take the following classes if you are interested in and seek professional experience in Engineering and Architectural Software and Machines. Students that take courses in BOTH areas find that they are much better prepared in either field. Their experiences, portfolios and resumes are proof.

Architectural Design I *(Second Time/Advanced Residential-additional credit is given) - Revit/ Adobe Illustrator/Laser/3D Printer Abs and Resin
Graphic Design I - Adobe Illustrator (Art Credit.5)
Graphic Design II - Adobe Illustrator (Art Credit.5)
(Design and Fabrication has a name change to Add "Honors", however Andover High School has always provided and implemented Honors level curriculum in this class)
*Note - Students may take Architecture I and/or Engineering II for a second time if they are interested in this area and are exploring as a career.
They will receive credit again the second time, assuming they passed and received credit the first time.
