About Me

RESEARCH INTEREST

My current research interests are:

1. Widening Participation in Mathematical Sciences

2. Mathematical Pedagogy

3. Academic Skills in the Mathematical Sciences

4. Transitions in the Mathematical Sciences

5. Mathematics Resilience

6. Staff-student Partnership in Learning and Teaching

7. Peer Assisted Learning and Supplemental Instruction

I have been actively researching staff-student collaboration in undergraduate mathematics course design and delivery, peer assisted learning in mathematics education , mathematics learning support, and mathematics resilience. The context of my research doctoral thesis was a curriculum development project called the SYMBoL project which was based at Loughborough University. I now want to draw on the experience and skills I gained from the SYMBoL project and the academic roles I have held over the last eigth years, to make a contribution to knowledge in widening participation to the Mathematical Sciences.
