Currently working at ETH Zurich, running a project exploring the relationship between alternative mathematics, i.e. mathematics that deviates from the "standard" way of doing mathematics, and feminist mathematics, i.e. mathematics that addresses feminist concerns with mainstream practices.
Previously, I worked at the University of Padua as a collaborator in the project PreLog, an attempt to better understand the mechanisms of theory choice in logic. My focus has been on varieties of disagreement between logicians, and arguments for logical revisionism.
I spent my PhD years at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. My dissertation analysed the field of inconsistent mathematics from a practice-based perspective, and reconceptualized it as a liberatory activity aimed at counteracting some unwelcome social effects of naturalizing mainstream ("classical") mathematics.
I happen to be Trans in Philosophy, which has a significant impact on my academic life, interests, and mental health. You can find voices about it here.
Before moving to Philosophy, I spent a year studying Logic at the ILLC in Amsterdam, with a focus on philosophical logic and philosophy of mathematics. Before that, I studied Mathematics at the University of Turin, with a focus on model theory and descriptive set theory.
