Currently at ETH Zurich, running a project exploring the relationship between alternative mathematics, i.e. math that deviates from the "standard" way of doing math, and feminist mathematics, i.e. math that addresses feminist concerns with mainstream practices. I'm also interested in alternative logics (especially relevant logic), and interactions of logic with feminist and trans philosophy. You can get a vibe for the kind of work I do here.
Previously, I was a postdoc at the University of Padua, within a project on theory choice in logic. My focus there has been on classifying varieties of disagreement between logicians, and arguments for logical revisionism.
I happen to be Trans in Philosophy, which has a significant impact on my academic life, interests, and mental health. You can find voices about it here.
I spent my PhD years at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, within a project on paraconsistent logics and dialetheism. My dissertation analysed inconsistent mathematics from a practice-based perspective, and reconceptualized it as a liberatory activity aimed at counteracting unwelcome social effects of naturalizing mainstream ("classical") math.
Before moving to Philosophy, I spent a year studying Logic at the ILLC in Amsterdam, with a focus on philosophical logic and philosophy of mathematics.
Before that, I studied Mathematics at the University of Turin, with a focus on mathematical logic. My MSc thesis established a quantitative link between the model-theoretic complexity of classifiable theories and the set-theoretic complexity of the isomorphism relation on their uncountable models.
