Welcome to my personal page. I am an applied economist and my research mainly focuses on the economic, demographic and political impact of both regular and refugees migration on hosting countries. My recent work also includes the analysis, through US historical data, of migrants inventors' location choice during the Age of Mass Migration, and the study of the effect of culture, specifically language and its structure, on economic behaviour.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Padua in November 2017. I then shortly worked as a research assistant in the Department of Political Economy at King's College, London. From June 2018 until February 2023, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS) at the University of Milan-Bicocca. In March 2023, I joined the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Padova where I am currently Assistant Professor of Economic Policy (Rtd-A).
