Welcome to my personal page!

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics (Tenure-Track, RTDB) at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padova. I am an applied economist and my research focuses on the economic, demographic and political impact of both regular and refugees migration on hosting countries.

My research agenda also includes a project in the field of the economics of education - focusing on how Italian high school students choose their university field of study - and a work on the economics of drug trafficking and violence perpetrated by criminal organizations in Colombia.

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Padua in November 2017. I then shortly worked as a research assistant in the Department of Political Economy at King's College, London. From June 2018 until February 2023, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS) at the University of Milan-Bicocca. In March 2023, I joined the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Padova as untenured Assistant Professor of Economic Policy (Rtd-A).
