I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Enrico Fermi Research Center in Rome, Italy, where I study the relationship between innovation, sustainability, and structural change in the context of the green and digital transitions.
I hold a PhD in Economics from the joint programme of the Universities of Siena, Florence and Pisa, and a Master's degree in Physics from Sapienza University of Rome. This dual background combines a rigorous quantitative foundation with an interest in the socio-economic dimensions of technological change.
My research is empirical and data-driven, aiming to understand how innovation and technological capabilities shape economic transformation. I combine methods from Economic Complexity, text mining, and Large Language Models (LLMs) to analyse large-scale data on patents, trade, and employment. My overarching goal is to explore how the twin transitions can foster sustainable and inclusive growth while revealing new dependencies and asymmetries in global production systems.
