GOLDEN TREES

Probably the only deciduous tree to keep their dead leaves, The american beech holds it's golden foliage all throughout the winter. Scientists think this may be the tree timing itself to get the boost of fertilizer in the spring, when it grows leaves. This phenomenon is called Marcescance. The result looks pretty cool.
