In April, you can find germinating acorns under logs and leaf litter, timing their growth perfectly with spring weather. I did the same thing last year, but the sapling was eaten by a rabbit as soon as it was put outside. This year, I have another acorn. I plan to grow it to It's pull potential. So far, it only has tiny root buds.

On April 6th, I found another acorn with much more developed roots. I now have two growing acorns in flowerpots on my desk, alongside my Potato Plant. I now have double the chance of a tree surviving. Eventually, They formed an opening at the highest point of the roots. Out of this opening, a thin stem with a bud at the end grew upwards, as it started to open up, creating 2 reddish leaves by the end of April. Time-Lapse Below.
