I took different approaches with different pieces. Some were crafted using a laser cut machine, where I'd layer two different colored papers to form one piece. Another approach involved using all the work as stencils, spraying paint to create these wallpaper-like images. They're huge, about 3 x 4 feet, and I repeated them, rotating to create space and symmetry.
Creating alone wasn't fulfilling my drive—I wanted to share what I was doing, but building up enough work and crafting a compelling story was tough. With just a few hours in the day to spare, finding time to produce something substantial was a real challenge.
One of the first spots I checked out when I got here was Mt. Adams. The neighborhood's beauty is just breathtaking, especially from the top of the hill, with its view overlooking the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati.
