Introduction
Welcome to Fraction Calculator, a mobile application developed by JanoGroup LLC that helps you perform and visualize fraction calculations quickly and accurately. Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By downloading or using Fraction Calculator, you agree to the terms outlined here.
No Account Required. You do not need to create an account or sign in.
No PII Collected. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (name, email address, phone number, or physical location).
Input Data. Whenever you enter fractions, mixed numbers, or whole numbers to perform a calculation, those inputs are processed locally on your device.
Calculation Results. The results of your calculations (e.g. simplified fractions, decimals, percentage conversions) are generated and displayed on your device only.
All data you generate in the app stays on your device unless you choose otherwise:
Calculation History. A log of your past calculations (inputs, outputs, date/time).
App Settings. Preferences such as number format (improper vs. mixed fractions), theme (light/dark), and notification options.
User Notes. Any annotations or labels you attach to specific calculations.
You have full control over this data and can delete it at any time via the app’s settings.
To help us improve the app’s performance and reliability, we may collect aggregated, non-personal statistics, including:
App launch frequency and session duration
Features used (e.g., number of calculations performed, types of operations)
Crash logs and performance diagnostics (only if you opt in)
This data is completely anonymized and cannot be traced back to you.
We integrate with the following external services only if you opt in:
Analytics & Crash Reporting. We may use services such as Firebase Analytics or Sentry to gather anonymized usage metrics and crash reports. You can disable this collection at any time in the app’s privacy settings.
Platform Services. Google Play Services (Android) or Apple App Store frameworks (iOS) may collect device diagnostics or crash reports on your behalf. Please review their privacy policies for details.
On-Device Protection. All calculation inputs and history are stored locally; we do not transmit your calculation data off your device.
Secure Storage. When supported, we use the device’s secure storage mechanisms (e.g., Android Keystore, iOS Keychain) to safeguard your local data.
No Long-Term Server Storage. Since no calculation data is sent to our servers by default, there is no external storage of your calculations.
While we strive to follow industry best practices, no system can be completely immune to risks. Please keep your device secure with a passcode or biometric lock.
Fraction Calculator is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided information, please contact us so we can delete their data promptly.
Fraction Calculator is provided “as is” and “as available.” JanoGroup LLC makes no warranties—express or implied—regarding the app’s accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any outcomes or damages resulting from the use of the app, including calculation errors or data loss. The app is a tool for informational purposes and does not constitute professional mathematical or financial advice.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app announcement or by updating the “Effective Date” above. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
