Fayetteville School District #1 became the first chartered public school district in Arkansas in 1871. In the almost 150 years since, there have been many milestones and memorable moments and individuals. It is our hope to capture them on these pages so that current and future generations will learn the rich history and heritage of Fayetteville Public Schools.
