First Philippine International School was founded in 2010 but started its first operation in 2012 due to the uprising. The school is owned and run by a Filipino with a great desire and a deep commitment of educating globally Libyan children and other nationalities. FPIS hires qualified faculty and accepts students with no restriction of race ,color, national or ethnic origin. It strives to give each student with a competitive academic environment with appropriate skills and knowledge necessary to interact in a global society. The designed curricula in all major subject areas are patterned in the American school system which adheres and directs to the intellectual, social, spiritual, physical and recreational aspects of students’ lives with full integration of the norms of conduct and values to become a useful citizens and to prepare them for life , and therefore worthy to be called productive members of the society. The school has been recognized and granted its license by the Board of Investment and the Ministry of Education , thus operating legally as one of the international schools in Libya.
