You are welcome to stay anywhere you like in the DC area; however, we recommend the following hotels:

How should I get to the Embassy?

The Embassy is located in an area without close access to the Metro; however, there is a robust bus system (one way fare = $2) and line D94 stops directly outside the Embassy gates. We highly recommend carpooling, taking an Uber, or walking when possible.
Street parking is available around the Embassy, however there are limited spaces, and it is paid two-hours parking, so please keep this in mind.

To check in with our security office, please be sure you have a government-issued ID with you.

Please plan to arrive between 12 pm and 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 8th to allow time for check-in.
Sandwiches will be available at 12:30 pm, and sessions begin at 2:00 pm.

The reception will be held at the Residence of France. Please use the following address:
***Please note that you will receive a QR the night before the reception that you will need to scan in order to enter the Ambassador's residence.***

The dress code is business casual for the reception at the Residence of the Ambassador. Please note that you will not have time have time to go back to your hotel before the reception to change your clothes.

No, you cannot bring a guest or +1 to the Embassy, or to the reception at the Residence of France. Please note that anyone coming to the Embassy or Residence without being added to the list will not be allowed to enter.

Lunch will be provided on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Coffee/tea and snacks will be offered on Thursday and Friday morning.
**Please note that only petits fours will be served at the Residence of France on Thursday evening**

Please bring your laptops, tablets, and any other devices you would like to have with you as well as pens/paper.

You will get a coupon so that you can login into the Embassy’s wifi. The coupon will be valid for three days.
