Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Strands

Lugait Senior High School offers a range of Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Strands that provide students with hands-on training and practical skills, preparing them for immediate employment, entrepreneurship, or further skills development. These strands are designed to cater to students who prefer a more specialized, skill-based approach to learning. The available TVL strands include:

1. SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
   The SMAW strand is part of the Industrial Arts track and provides students with technical training in welding techniques used in construction, manufacturing, and repair industries. Students gain hands-on experience with welding equipment and learn industry standards, preparing them for careers as welders, fabricators, or technicians in various industrial sectors.

2. ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
   The ICT strand focuses on developing technical skills in computer science, software development, networking, and digital media. Students learn to troubleshoot, program, and manage IT systems, preparing them for careers in information technology, web development, network administration, and other tech-related fields.

3. HE (Home Economics)
   The Cookery strand is part of the Home Economics track and focuses on culinary arts and food preparation. Students learn essential skills in cooking, baking, food safety, menu planning, and catering. This strand prepares students for careers in the hospitality industry, including restaurant management, catering, and food service.
