GRADE .5 Don Gato sounds pretty irritated in this piece for string orchestra that is performed pizzicato only.
GRADE .5 Students get the opportunity to play in 3/4 with the first 6 notes of the D major scale and their open strings in The Lost Toy. As an ensemble piece, the melody is spread between the different instruments, but it also can also be performed as a string solo with the separate parts.

GRADE .5 - 1 I had the privilege of taking a strings course with Betsy Maliszewski, who teaches the classic eighth & quarter bowing pattern to the phrase “I like choc-late ice cream.” As a way of expressing my appreciation to her for sharing her time and wisdom with me, I wrote this piece for beginning string students.
