Fate Accelerated

Fate Accelerated

While I've played Fate Core a couple of times, I have found that I prefer Fate Accelerated (despite the slightly quirky approaches). There are a couple of reasons for this. First, I like its simplicity, and second I like the way that it makes a character's aspects more important.

Anyway, here are a few scenarios and characters that I've created for Fate Accelerated.

I talk about Fate Accelerated occasionally on my blog.

The Aurors

A modern-day adventure set in JK Rowling's Wizarding World for 3-5 Aurors (dark wizard hunters).

The Aurors scenario

Blank character sheets and instructions for creating characters

Five pre-generated characters (two senior Aurors and three trainees)

Setting Grid (for use with Galileo Games' Backstory Cards).

Other London

There are two Londons. The one we know, full of people and places and buses and rain. And the one we know less of, full of myth, legends, magic, mystery and nightmares. This ‘other’ London lives between the cracks of the first, and all manner of things have fallen through these cracks....

The Crasta Demon

Set in a fantasy world called the Great Circle, The Crasta Demon is a monster hunt with pre-generated characters because I find that works best for conventions and one-shots. With five characters it took about three hours to play, with a fifteen minute break.

The Crasta Demon scenario

Seven pre-generated characters

The Great Circle world background

Broken Arch NPCs

Operation Curious Warning

A mission for 2-5 players set in the world of Achtung! Cthulhu using Fate Accelerated. It is March 1944, and Operation Overlord is being planned, and British Security Service has learned of an old Breton legend about three holy Breton crowns that were buried near the coast of what is now Normandy to keep away English invaders...
