Students Can Identify Their Mood

  • The image to the left is a poster that is in each classroom.
  • Students can choose to interact with the poster by placing their tag where they are feeling.
  • This helps them identify how they are feeling and can signal their peers and teacher to help or check in.
  • As we move to the right on the graph, we are increasing pleasantness. Therefore, green and yellow are "highly pleasant" moods. Examples include happy, relaxed, excited, joyful, comfortable, safe, etc.
  • As we move up on the graph, we are increasing energy. Therefore, red and yellow are "high energy" moods. Examples include excited, anxious, raging, angry, frustrated, aggressive, competitive, focused.
  • Students in the red are unpleasant and have high energy. Examples are angry, raging, frustrated, anxious, aggressive
  • Students in the yellow are pleasant and have high energy. Examples are happy, excited, hyper
  • Students in the blue have low energy and are unpleasant. Examples are sad, depressed, upset, frustrated, exhausted
  • Students in the green have low energy and are pleasant. Examples are relaxed, calm, peaceful, content, comfortable, safe
