Because we understand the current challenges of meeting in-person, and the digital divide in some communities, we will use various virtual and in-person tools for you to participate in the planning process and provide feedback.
To stay up-to-date on all upcoming events and activities we have planned, take a look at the calendar to see where you can get involved.
This will be a 1.5-hour presentation to introduce you to the project goals, team, process, timeline, and how you can get involved! At the end of the presentation we have a participatory group activity for you to provide input. Join us on October 14 at 6:00 pm or check back later to watch the recording.
Through the website you will be able to provide input about the study area using an interactive map. Tell us about the places you like, places you don’t like, places you want to see improved, and job opportunities and industries you want to see in the Port-Industrial District.
All meetings that require more than 10 people will be held virtually on Zoom, a free video conference tool. If you are not familiar with the software please visit the website to learn more and create an account. You can download the program, and join meetings from your computer, tablet, and/or smartphone.
We will livestream, post events, participatory activities, and give project updates on the City of Newark Facebook Page.
We are working with the Newark People's Assembly to host reoccurring town hall meetings to provide you with plenty of opportunities to provide your input and feedback if you miss a virtual meeting or don't feel comfortable with technology.
Check back on the website or the City of Newark's Facebook page to see when and where those meetings will take place.
