Next Concert: August 7 @ Sundance Square
Established in 2025, the Young Artists Contest celebrates high school musicians in Tarrant County. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to get more practice and performance opportunities on their solo for the spring semester.
Thanks to generous support from The Bandwagon Music Store, top winners will be awarded Kristi Henry Memorial Scholarships, consisting of a cash prize and a commemorative plaque to further recognize their outstanding musicianship and achievement.
1st place: $500
2nd place: $250
3rd place: $250
Additionally, winners will be invited (but not required) to attend our concert at TCU's Van Cliburn Hall in May to accept their award and cash prize. The first place winner will also be invited to perform their winning solo as part of the concert.
Check back here in January for the 2027 entry form. Video submissions will be due in early May.
Requirements:
Participants must attend school and/or live within Tarrant county. See a full list of eligible districts in our Google Form.
Participants must be current high school students (grades 9-12).
The work performed must be a Class I solo piece or similar.
