How the Land Use Bylaw Project and Residents Engagement Sessions Feedback Align
During a recent meeting with the Planning Department it became apparent that all of the Land Use Bylaw project objectives stated by the planning department align with all of the feedback stated to the planners in the engagement sessions from the residents.
The February engagement feedback report contains residents input which aligns nicely to the Land Use Bylaw planning objectives for the Pineview neighbourhood which has a low scale area with Bungalows and a high scale area with 2 story homes. Appendix E aligns to the residents input and the project scope.
These few slides below are examples of how some of the planners Land Use Bylaw project objectives and the Pineview Residents engagement feedback are in alignment with the land use bylaw project.
Unfortunately there are several councilors who don't understand the intent of the Land Use Bylaw project and in particular the Pineview neighbourhood objectives for the project and are communicating wrong information which has been contradicting the bylaw project scope and the aligned residents engagement feedback.
Several councilors are still referring to the old Land Use Bylaw in which they think some of the components need to be maintained into the individual neighbourhood bylaws and don't understand that Pineview is getting a new Land Use Bylaw specifically for the characteristics of the neighbourhood.
