In just a little over a year, Fortnite Battle Royale has found its way into the heart and soul of gamers. It is considered as one of the most popular and most exciting games all over the world. 

Fortnite has worldwide renown because it can be played by anyone on virtually any platform: PS4, PC, Xbox One, and iOS. Soon, gamers can play a version of it on their Android gadgets. 

If you haven’t played it yet, the concept of the game is pretty simple: you need to be the last man standing at the end of the game. In the beginning 100 players will be placed on an island where they can find weapons and special items to fight enemies and stay in a continuously diminishing “safe zone”.

You will require a lot of skills, critical thinking and fast reflexes to survive and win this straightforward yet distinctive game. One of the skills you need to master is Fortnite Building. You need to be able to build basic and complex structures using the materials and traps you will find throughout the game. 

Your goal is pretty straightforward: discover and use top-tier weapons, collect loot, gather supply, and kill as many as you can. To save yourself from the onslaught of enemies, you need to build a virtually impenetrable trap and improve your chances of winning.

Adding uncommon and rare objects and traps to your structure makes the game more enjoyable. However, it is vital that you understand where to place the traps to get the optimum benefit. There are launch pads, damage traps, bounce traps that you can utilize. 

In the newly released Fortnite Battle Royale V6.30, the new Mounted Turret was introduced. The Mounted Turret is not a weapon. It is classified as a Legendary Trap Item.

The Mounted Turret can be found in Floor Loot, Supply Llamas, Vending Machines and Supply Drops. It comes with unlimited ammunition and many players believe that this is a very powerful addition to the game. It is a trap that you can control. 

However, the Mounted Turret cannot be fired continuously as it will overheat. Those who are keen with the game have discovered that two Mounted Turrets can be placed side by side and the player can get double the power and negate the cooldown. 

Recently, a Reddit post gained traction after it advised players on how to exploit the turret’s health to make indestructible traps. ‘Vercyx’ explained that you can have a more impenetrable trap by following the tips below:

1.   You will need a spike trap and a Mounted Turret. 

2.   Select the best position for your trap. Keep in mind that the spike trap works best on a roof, not when placed on a wall or the floor. 

3.   The Mounted Turret should be positioned exactly above the trap. 

4.   The Mounted Turret will not destroy the spike trap, but instead will strengthen the floor piece and adds 5000 health points!

If you only have a Mounted Turret without a spike trap, you can put the Turret on the floor and make it indestructible as well, enemy fire cannot damage it. You can keep your enemies at bay or destroy their camps with 40 damage points from this heavy-duty item. 

Update: Most recently, Epic Games revealed that it has reduced the floor health of the Mounted Turret from the original 5,000 HP to 1,000 HP. The turret’s health was also halved from 800 to 400. This adjustment does not modify the effectivity or the power of the turrets. They are still strong offensive tools and you can still use them to fortify your traps.
