MEET THE COACHES

Coach Zane Quesenberry was named the Head Coach for the 2023 season. Quesenberry, or Coach Q as he is known, is a former Pulaski County football player under former Cougar coach Jack Turner. He graduated from Pulaski County in 2009.

He then went on to play football at Maryville (TN) College as a defensive back.

Quesenberry started his coaching career at William Blount Middle School and then moved on to Bearden (TN) High School. While at Bearden he coached tight ends and defensive backs.

Then in 2016, Quesenberry moved back to Pulaski County and became an assistant coach at the middle school and later at Pulaski County High School, and was a teacher at Critzer Elementary School.

Quesenberry then became the defensive coordinator at Auburn High School under now Cougar head coach Cam Akers.

In 2020 he came back to Pulaski County to be an assistant under new head coach at that time, Mark Dixon. There he coached quarterbacks and defensive backs for two years.

After Akers took over at PCHS, Quesenberry served as special teams, running back and defensive backs coach.

He and his wife, Nancy, were married in 2012 and currently reside in Pulaski. They are a husband-wife team when it comes to the Pioneer football program.
