UPDATE October 12, 2025:
We're proud to report that thanks to the generosity of several individuals and organizations, we have been able to restore both butterfly gardens and replace the trail surface.
Here are the remaining major items:
Install two (2) new park benches.
Replace all English/Braille signs.
Install new guide ropes.
We are still accepting tax-deductible donations to complete the remaining work.
Thanks again to all our donors for their generous support.
Several years ago, the Forsyth County Lions Club built a Braille Trail and Pollinator Garden at Fowler Park in Cumming, Georgia for the benefit of the blind and visually impaired, plus the environment.
Sadly, the trail has erosion problems due to drainage issues, the trail surface needs to be replaced, and signs and guide ropes need to be replaced due to vandalism.
We are in dire need of $10,000.00 to make the trail usable again.
