We use filament for our 3D prints. It gives color to the designs. It is shaped like a tube. This long "tube" is rolled onto a spool, and then it hooks up to our printers to 3D print what we want. 3D printer filament is made out of a specific kind of plastic called Polylactic acid (PLA), which, unlike regular plastic, is not harmful to the environment.
