Formby Running Club is a FREE to join, social, inclusive, running collective, for women & men of all ages and abilities, running in the pinewoods, firm trails, shared cycle paths and beaches of Formby and surrounding areas. All we ask is that you're comfortable running 5k at your own easy social pace without stopping, and that you commit to joining us at least once a month. For all of our runs no one is left behind, faster runners loop-back to rejoin the group. We always build-in regrouping / hydration stops. Dogs welcome at all our runs.
TUESDAY INTERVALS 08:15 (far end of Freshfield Station Car Park, 1 Montagu rd, Formby, L37 1LA, near Kiosk Coffee): 1 hour, approx. 8k. Rough timings: 10 min warm-up run easy social pace, 30 min Intervals (hard run / recovery walk), 10 min cool-down easy social pace, 5 mins stretches major run muscle groups.
WEDNESDAY SOCIAL RUN 19:00 with Pinewoods Wednesday (Facebook Group), 1 hour / approx 8 km through the Ainsdale trails.
SUNDAY SOCIAL RUN 09:00 (St. Luke’s Church, Formby, L37 2DF): Easy chatty pace, with cut-offs to give 6k, 12k, 18k or more depending on individuals training needs. This is a social run so speed of pace is not important. Run Slower to Get Faster! *1

SATURDAY 08:20 Extended Crosby parkrun (usually second Saturday of the month): Hightown > Crosby parkrun > Return. 13k total inc. parkrun. Meeting at Hightown Gate (end of Blundell rd). See Spond for details.
ENDURANCE run, half / full marathon training (inc. regrouping / hydration stops) Formby > Hightown > Crosby parkrun, return. 24k (including parkrun). Meeting at Barton Hays rd, Sanderling Park L37 2EZ.
