Club Rules
Persons present for the meetings on February 7th and/or March 7th 2006 is a charter member of Forks of the River Bass Club.
Two unexcused absences from meetings or tournaments, consecutively, will result in a member's status becoming inactive.
An annual formal club meeting will be held on the first part of each year. Informal meetings will be held, when needed, before or after a tournament at the predetermined launch location.
An active member must introduce a potential member to the club during a meeting or notify the tournament director of the potential member at least 14 days prior to the upcoming tournament. The prospective member will be voted in or out the same night by club members. Fifty one percent of the club must vote before the prospective member is approved.
The elected club positions are:
President
Vice-president/tournament director
Secretary
Treasurer
The three rules committee members are permanent positions until they leave the club. Upon one of the committees' departure, a new rules committee member will be elected.
Club members will only be able to participate in tournaments. The only exception is each team can use two alternates (PER TEAM) per year. The alternate does not have to be the same person and one team member must fish with alternate.
Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times.
Life jackets shall be worn when the boat is on plane.
Anyone operating in an unsafe manner or not in accordance with local laws will be disqualified from the tournament.
Blast-off will be at safe light on day tournaments and 7:00pm on night tournaments.
Only artificial baits will be permitted.
No team will fish within 50 yards of another team's first anchored boat.
All participants must leave the official launch site by water.
All live wells will be checked before blast-off.
Fishing time will be set by the 4 elected positions of the club.
Team members will draw numbers before each tournament. The numbers must be turned in to the director prior to weigh-in time or members cannot weigh in fish. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Anyone in possession of alcoholic beverages or who is found under the influence will be disqualified.
Lake rules apply for all tournaments.
GOLDEN RULE is the official measuring gadget.
In the event of a tie at the scales, big fish will break the tie. It is the anglers' responsibility to choose the big fish to be weighed.
At weigh-in, a courtesy measurement or confirmation of species of fish will be allowed. However, anyone caught trying to intentionally weigh a short fish will be disqualified.
At year's end, the team with the most points from eight tournaments (with four drops) will be awarded with the title Team Bass.
In case of a tie for Team Bass, the team with the most weight for the year will win the title.
In the event that a team is unable to make weigh-in, one team member will be allowed to take their fish to the weigh-in by the boat of any other club member.
Trophies will be awarded at the end of the year for big largemouth, smallmouth, and the top five point earners.
Their will be a 6 ounce deduction for each dead fish.
In case of a tie at the scales and big fish is the same, both teams will get equal points.
Club members will preset 12 tournament dates at the beginning of each club year.
Bonus points will be earned throughout the year and added to year end points totals.
How to earn bonus points
One (1) bonus point for each participating team.
Big fish for each tournament is worth one (1) bonus point.
A limit of LIVE fish is worth one (1) bonus point.
A team must fish eight tournaments to fish Classic tournament.
