Welcome to the Forever Sporting Over-60 Northeast Invitational — a tournament built on the belief that the passion for competition, teamwork, and the game itself does not disappear with age.
This event brings together players from across the Northeast for a weekend of competitive soccer, camaraderie, storytelling, and reconnection. While the format is adapted for longevity and enjoyment, the spirit remains authentic: real teams, real competition, and players who still love to play.
Hosted in Rochester, New York — America’s #1 O-60 Soccer City™ — the Invitational is part of the broader mission of Forever Sporting and Actigevity: promoting active longevity through sport, movement, and meaningful social connection.
Games will be played 8v8 on half fields with 30-minute halves. Rules are designed to keep the games fun, competitive, and moving: no sliding tackles, no offsides, open substitutions, and no limit on roster size.
Because the drive to compete doesn’t retire.

To lock-in a spot, must enter nonrefundable deposit (on first come, first serve basis by August 25).
Tournament Format
Tournament Format
Two games per team on Day 1 with 30-minute halves
Guaranteed 3 games for every team
Semifinals & Final = one-hour games on Day 2
Group Stage
12 teams divided into 3 groups of 4 (round-robin)
Advancement
Top team from each group advances automatically
Best 2nd-place team across all groups also advances

4 teams play 4 games
2 teams play 5 games (the finalists)

When teams are tied on points, tiebreakers are applied in this order:
Head-to-Head result
Goal Difference
Total Goals Scored
Fewest Goals Conceded
Fair Play Points
Coin Toss / Penalty Shootout
These determine the 1st place teams in each group and the best 2nd place team that advances to the semifinals.

🍺 Sunday Beer Round Rules
One beer per game at halftime only (maximum 1 beer per person during the round).
Drivers / anyone who needs to drive = No alcohol (drink water, soda, or NA beer instead).
Players can opt out anytime — no pressure.
Designated Drivers: Mark them clearly (wristband, different color pinny, etc.)
Captain Responsibility: Each team captain ensures their players follow the rules
Each player provides their own beer
