Meringue is a sweet white cob especially good for first time riders, she loves sleeping and being lazy so you need a little more leg and sometimes a crop to get her moving.
playful and cheeky, standing at 17 hands tall. this little paint will steal your heart. loves doing liberty work and is the best for beginners!

tiki is 13 hands of energy!! he loves rolling in shavings, and being silly. super speedy, and more of a hands on horse. he jumps 70-100 cm, and can surprise you with his scope! he will often run over to the trainer to get scratches mid lesson, but a good rider can be the perfect fit!
Rook has a heart of gold and is seriously one of our best beginner horses. he is a joker, has a great (ready to go) energy and is a great confidence booster! although he is a beginner to intermediate horse, he can still jump up to 90cm! he has won many entry level xc competitions and we are so happy to have him in our lesson program. this happy-go-lucky gelding is only 11 years old and is still our favorite teacher. welcome to fve!
Rolo is a Tobiano Dutch wb gelding standing at 16 hands and needs a steady rider as he can go a little fast sometimes. He doesnt try to scare you, but with a nervous rider he can seem like that! he is super speedy and love to run with the bit so you need a confident rider. but with the right match, rolo is so rewarding.
this ex-western horse has won the $5000 msehja national Hunter derby. schooling horse, as well as a prized horse in the ring. great for a challenge for all level riders, love to get muddy after a long ride.
badger, the newest addition to our barn - is a 18hh tennessee walking horse x thoroughbred cross. he is incredibly smart, honest, and definitely lets everyone know when you make a mistake. he is a slower ride, but he is slightly gaited so it feels bouncy even at a short stride. although if you get a feel for him, you get used to his awkward gaits. that aside, he makes every fence easy to pop over - therefore a great horse to jump your first “big” fence on. he was a very schooled dressage horse, and is now well rounded as a jumper too! forest view is greatful to have such an amazing schoolhorse in our program.
Blondie is a palomino Hanoverian who loves to show her sass to everyone, she begs for pats and can be a pain after a muddy field.
typical “chestnut mare”. make sure to keep spacing! (pumpkin kicks.) Although she is a challenge, she is such a rewarding ride. she can jump up to 90-120cm. speedy, and loves to race around the arena. After a good ride, she loves to follow you around in the pasture.
“a walk on the beach” wins 1.3 meter jumper classes regularly, this ottb has done wonders in showjumping, but has a history of being a racehorse!! this helps with speed in courses, but also can be a challenge with new riders. he is a silly, fun, ride standing at 17.2 hands and can be a great team with a good rider. we are amazed with what he can do and are so happy to have him in fve!!
standing at a small 14.1 hh, this gelding is one of the smallest in the yard. you have to keep a strong leg and take a crop as he definitely likes to test your abilities of keeping him working. he has a big personality and let’s everyone know it! once you get through his attitude, he is a super pony if you ever see one. this 7 year old welsh pony can jump up to 1.2M. He wins blue ribbons at almost every show with a good rider, and people always come and ask if he is for sale. i did at a recent show i went to, and they said yes.
