As DFO Koderma, Mr. Narendra Mishra was instrumental in representing the Government of India at the Supreme Court in 1988, which led to the modification of the Forest Conservation Act.
Having served in all forest roles in the jungles of Bihar and Jharkhand for more than 30 years - from Territorial to Working plan, Afforestation, State Trading & Monitoring etc - he has a wide understanding of "nuts and bolts" of Indian Forests and how to undertake the development of Industry within such zones while keeping the ecology intact.
He has also written several books on Forest Processes and Accounts, which are widely referred by Forest Officials of Jharkhand in their day to day job.
