Zach Zimmerman is a master's student currently studying at the University of Alberta. He is part of the TRANSFOR-M program studying forestry which had him doing master's work last year in Bangor, Wales.
He is currently working under Andreas Hamann on the assisted migration project focused on modelling tree species frequency and distributions. His work is being done in conjunction with the pan-Canadian DIVERSE project for climate change resiliency.
Zach recently began a career in ecological forestry operations and research at an innovative community forest in rural Nova Scotia.
He wants to offer special thanks to Dr. Andreas Hamann for his dedicated guidance on the project, and to collaborators Nicholas Boyce and Genevieve Dorrell.
