Hi! My name is Ford Robbins. I am a second-year undergraduate student at Florida State University. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in media/communications, with an emphasis in sports. I am also a member of the FSU Honors College. Some of my favorite hobbies include watching sports, playing sports, and playing music (especially the guitar).

That "sports emphasis" part of my major is a big reason I was drawn to FSU. One thing that stood out to me on my campus tour was the Seminole Production program, in which students in the school of communication have the opportunity to help broadcast any home sports games. I was accepted into that program in the summer and have already hit the ground running, working with handheld cameras for basketball and soccer games.

Another benefit of having a sports emphasis in my major is the ability to take sports-related classes. One that I am currently wrapping up, ENC 3934, Writing for Sports, has taught me excellent writing skills for sports journalism. In this portfolio, I am showcasing my best work from this class over the semester.
