Starting over isn’t easy. It’s raw, uncertain, and often overwhelming. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my journey, it’s this: starting over doesn’t mean starting from nothing. You’re not beginning at zero—you’re beginning from experience. And if you use that experience right, you can build something stronger than you ever had before.
I’m Jaden Garza, and my story is living proof that your past doesn’t define your future—unless you let it. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve had setbacks. I’ve been written off. But each of those moments, painful as they were, became part of the foundation I used to build Nomad Internet.
When I hit my lowest point, I had two choices: stay stuck or move forward. I chose to move. But it wasn’t easy. There were days I didn’t feel worthy of trying again. There were people who reminded me of what I did wrong, not what I could do right. And there was fear—real fear—that maybe they were right.
But here’s what I want you to know: fear is loud, but it’s not the truth. The truth is that every day you choose to get up and keep going, you’re already winning. Every small action counts. Every lesson matters. You don’t need to erase your past to have a future—you just need to learn from it.
For anyone starting over, here are a few pieces of advice from someone who’s been there:
Own your story
Don’t hide from what you’ve been through. People respect honesty. When I started talking openly about my past, something incredible happened: people started listening. Not because I was perfect, but because I was real. That transparency built trust, and trust built everything else.
Focus on progress, not perfection
Starting over doesn’t mean everything has to be flawless. At Nomad Internet, we’ve had bumps, missteps, and moments of doubt. But we kept moving. Perfection is a myth—progress is what builds momentum.
Build for others
One of the biggest turning points in my journey was realizing that my second chance wasn’t just for me. It was for everyone I could help. That mindset shift gave me purpose. It’s what drives me to keep improving Nomad Internet and expanding our reach to underserved communities.
Surround yourself with the right people
I wouldn’t be where I am today without a team that believes in the mission. Find people who remind you of what you’re capable of. People who don’t judge your past but invest in your future.
Keep your eyes on the long game
Starting over is a marathon, not a sprint. Celebrate the small wins. Learn from the setbacks. And never let one chapter convince you the story is over.
If my name—Jaden Garza—means anything to you, I hope it stands for possibility. Not perfection, not hype. Just possibility. The possibility that even after everything, you can rebuild. You can rise. You can matter.
So if you’re in a place where you’re starting over, take a deep breath. You’re not behind. You’re just on a different path. And if you walk it with courage and clarity, it can lead somewhere better than you imagined.
Because the truth is, starting over isn’t the end. It’s the start of something real.
