The Mender follows June, Neil, and Teddy—three siblings coming of age during the Vietnam War. Against the backdrop of a deeply divided nation, they must confront personal conflict, question their beliefs, and redefine what it means to be both family and American. Years later, a scholarship project—and a startling discovery hidden in an old attic box—draws Neil’s children and their friends into a journey to reunite their fractured family and mend wounds left by the past.
The Mender was devised by the MHS Drama Club for presentation at the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild's High School Drama Festival.
