Nancie Carmichael has been involved in Christian writing and publishing for most of her life. She and her husband, Bill were publishers of Virtue Magazine and Christian Parenting Magazine and more recently, they’ve helped hundreds of authors publish books through their company, Deep River Books.
Nancie and Bill have written several books together including Lord, Bless My Child, as well as books on marriage. Nancie has written: Desperate for God: How He Meet Us When We Pray; The Comforting Presence of God; Selah: Time to Stop, Think, and Step into your Future; Praying for Rain; Surviving One Bad Year; and many others. She has also written The Unexpected Power of Home—and Why We Need It More than Ever along with an accompanying study guide.
Nancie received her Masters of Spiritual Formation from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in 2012, and in 2005, an Honorary Doctorate from Western Baptist College. She speaks in churches and leads retreats for many years in various parts of the country.
But Nancie will tell you her greatest joy is being married to her best friend, Bill, andtrying to keep up with their growing family of five married children and 14 grandchildren.
