Athletic Clearance

NO athlete can participate without having completed an Athletic Clearance.


All returning and incoming athletes must have completed the Athletic Clearance process BEFORE they can participate in any summer and/or school-year sports activities.


The Athletic Clearance is valid for one(1) year and must be repeated on an annual basis. Failure to renew the Athletic Clearance prior to summer will result in not being able to participate in any summer and/or school-year activities at Foothill.


All students must process their Athletic Clearance online at: www.AthleticClearance.com.

The Confirmation Message does not mean that [Athlete's Name] has been cleared to participate in athletics/activities at Foothill/Santa Ana. The message simply means that the parent and/or athlete did their part on creating an Athletic Clearance account for the year. 


Physicals MUST be on file BEFORE a student will be allowed to go out for a sport. A current physical is REQUIRED for each school year and is valid for one (1) calendar year from the date it was signed by the doctor.  All medical information will be kept confidential according to HIPPA regulations. 

Foothill High School has joined XlntBrain in the fight against concussion injury in sports.

Concussion awareness education is mandated by State law for all athletes and their parents and/or guardians. Athletes MUST COMPLETE the XlntBrain Baseline Test BEFORE participating in any camps/practices/games.
