When looking at strictly passing versus rushing data for NFL and College data, we only analyzed the winners of each game. This is important because from the data we can see clear trends within each league. In the NFL, we can see a clear trend of almost having the same amount of pass attempts and same amount of rush attempts with passing yards on average being higher than rushing yards. However, in College Football, we can see multiple trends also such as how teams have always attempted to rush the ball on average than pass the ball. However, throughout the years, we can also see how teams have passed more on average than rush on average. Clearly, from these graphs, we can conclude that there is a clear winning formula in how offenses build their teams - you cannot either fully pass the ball or fully run the ball, but have a flexible play style.
