This 50-hour micro-credential introduces learners to the links between food systems, water security, nutrition, climate resilience, livelihoods and sustainability. It is designed for university students, youth and community-based learners, with a focus on Malawi, Zambia, South Africa and wider Southern African contexts.
The course includes five modules with narrated presentations, core resources, individual and group activities, and portfolio tasks. Learners work towards a final Food-Water Security Action Project or Community Enterprise Concept, where they design a practical response to a real food-water challenge in their own context.
