• Food Listing Details: Dish names, descriptions, pickup locations, availability times, and trade preferences

• Contact Information: Your name and Facebook Messenger handle for buyer-seller communication

• Photos: Images of food items you choose to share

Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data: GPS coordinates when you use the "Find food near me" feature (only when you grant permission)

• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for technical support

• Usage Analytics: How you interact with the App to improve user experience

How We Use Your Information

Local Storage Only

• Your food listings are stored locally on your device using secure local storage

• No personal data is transmitted to our servers

• Your information stays on your device and is not shared with other users through our systems

Location Services

• Used solely to calculate distances to nearby food listings

• GPS coordinates are processed locally and not stored permanently

• You can disable location services at any time in your device settings

Communication

• We facilitate contact between users through Facebook Messenger links

• We do not store or monitor your conversations

• Communication happens directly between users outside our App

Local Storage

• All your food listings and personal data are stored locally on your device

• Data is encrypted using industry-standard local storage security

• Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all your local data

No Cloud Storage

• We do not store your personal information on remote servers

• Your data is not backed up to cloud services

• Each device maintains its own independent data

Facebook Messenger Integration

• We do not receive data from your Messenger conversations

Data Control

• Access: View all your food listings within the App

• Edit: Modify or update your listings at any time

• Delete: Remove individual listings or uninstall the App to delete all data

• Export: No export feature needed as data remains on your device

Location Privacy

• Grant or deny location permission during App setup

• Change location settings in your device's privacy controls

• Use the App without location services (manual search only)

Communication Privacy

• Choose whether to include contact information in listings

• Control who can contact you through Messenger

• Block or report users directly in Facebook Messenger

Children's Privacy. Foodloop is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

Data Retention

• Local Data: Stored on your device until you delete listings or uninstall the App

• Location Data: GPS coordinates are not permanently stored

• Analytics: Anonymous usage statistics may be retained to improve the App

International Users. Since all data is stored locally on your device, international data transfer regulations do not apply. Your data never leaves your device through our App.

Changes to Privacy Policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App

• Updating the "Last Updated" date

• Sending push notifications for material changes
