• Displaying product information retrieved from the Open Food Facts database.

• Enhancing the user experience and improving App features.

Note: The App strictly adheres to the Open Food Facts API terms of use. Data retrieved via the API is not used for commercial purposes, sold, or redistributed without prior consent from Open Food Facts.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not share user information with third parties except in the following cases:

• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

• To meet specific requirements of the Open Food Facts API (e.g., storing anonymized data if applicable). 

 4. Camera Access

The App may request access to your device’s camera to scan barcodes.

• Purpose: Camera access is solely used to identify products through barcode scanning.

• User Control: You can disable camera access at any time through your device settings.

5. User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: Request access to personal data collected by the App.

• Rectification: Request corrections or updates to your personal data.

• Deletion: Request the deletion of your personal data.

• Consent Withdrawal: Withdraw consent for camera access or other functionalities.

6. Data Security

We implement administrative and technical measures to protect user data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.  

7. Use of Open Food Facts API

The App uses the Open Food Facts API in compliance with its terms and conditions:

• Attribution: All data retrieved from the API is credited to Open Food Facts.

• License Compliance: Data is used in accordance with the Open Database License (ODbL).

• Data Use: API data is used solely to provide product information to users. Permanent storage or commercial use of the data is not allowed without prior permission from Open Food Facts.

8. Free and Premium Access

Users have free access to raw product data provided by Open Food Facts.

Premium features, such as advanced data processing or personalized analytics, are accessible through a subscription.

After a subscription or trial expires, users will retain access to raw data but lose access to premium features.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any significant changes will be communicated to users through notifications within the App or via email.
