For the Red Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease and line two 8-inch cake tins.
In a bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla essence.
Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk alternately, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared tins.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
Beat the softened butter until creamy.
Gradually add the powdered sugar and continue mixing until smooth.
Add milk and few drops of vanilla essence.
Mix well.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate.
