The Extension operates entirely client-side (within your browser) and is designed solely to fulfill its single, stated purpose: to enhance web readability by applying user-defined font and styling preferences.

The Extension requires access to certain non-personal information only to function correctly:
User Preferences (Settings): The Extension stores your selected font family, font size, color, and styling options locally on your device using the browser's local storage API. These preferences are only used to apply the custom CSS styles to web pages you visit. These preferences are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Tab and URL Information: The Background Script uses the browser's tabs API to identify which web pages are currently loaded or active. This is necessary to efficiently inject the styling mechanism (content.js) and apply/revert styles only when required (e.g., when a new page loads or a setting changes). The content of the URLs or the pages themselves is never logged or stored.
3. Permissions Justification
The Extension requests the following permissions to operate:
