FomoWave Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 11, 2026

FomoWave (“the App”) is designed to help you organize vaults and items (including optional photos) on your device. We value your privacy and aim to keep your data under your control.

1. Summary
   Your vaults, items, and attached photos are stored locally on your device.
   We do not run our own servers to collect or store your vault data.
   We do not sell your personal information.
   When you export/import backups, the file is handled through Apple’s system features (Files app, Share Sheet).

2. Data the App Uses
   Data you provide
   Vault and item content: names, custom fields, dates, numbers, notes you enter.
   Photos (optional): if you choose to attach photos to a vault or item, the App uses selected images.

Permissions
Photos access (optional): the App may request permission to let you pick images. The App only uses the photos you select.

3. What the App Collects
   FomoWave is built to work without creating an account. By default:
   We do not collect identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, advertising ID, or precise location.
   We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs for tracking.
   (If you later add third-party services like analytics, cloud sync, or ads, you must update this policy and your App Store “App Privacy” disclosure accordingly.)

4. How Your Data Is Used
   Your data is used only to provide core app functionality:
   Creating and managing vaults/items
   Displaying and searching your content
   Exporting a backup file and importing it back into the App

5. Sharing & Third Parties
   We do not share your vault content with third parties.
   However, when you use system features (e.g., Share Sheet, Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, email), Apple or the service you choose may process data as part of providing that feature. Your use of those services is subject to their policies.

6. Backup Import/Export
   Export: The App creates a backup file on your device and lets you share/save it using the iOS Share Sheet.
   Import: You choose a backup file from the Files picker to restore it into the App.
   You control where the backup is stored (On My iPhone, iCloud Drive, external providers, etc.).

7. Data Retention
   Your content remains on your device until you delete it, delete the App, or remove backups you created.
   Backups stored outside the App (Files/iCloud/other providers) are retained according to where you save them.

8. Security
   We use Apple’s standard iOS security model and store app data locally. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize data exposure by keeping data on-device.

9. Children’s Privacy
   FomoWave is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this policy if the App’s functionality changes (for example, adding cloud sync or analytics). The “Effective date” will be updated, and the latest version will be posted on this page.
