1. When you open the lot roll back the fence all the way to the post to make room for cars to pull in.
2. Turn on the lights in the box at the back right hand side of the lot. Just turn on the double breaker inside the door of the box. You may also have to do the single breakers.
3. Follen has given out coupons to families in Lexington, Arlington and Waltham. A coupon is a Follen Christmas tree tag. It will have an adhesive label on the back side which says that this coupon may be exchanged for any tree in the lot. Put these coupons in with the daily proceeds, just like a check. Write on the coupon the color of the tag on the tree which the people selected. Let them keep their tree tag.
4. Big trees with white tags have individual prices written on them.
5. On weekdays Kim Vandiver will often stop by the lot around 5 pm to see how things are going. Someone will come down at 7:00 p.m. to help you to close up and collect the proceeds.
Kim will look at the weather in the evening and usually send out a plan for the next day. Check the Follen Tree Lot page off the Follen homepage for weather updates.
